So absolutely anyone who knows me, knows that I am the queen of I’ll do it later and procrastination is my middle name. Well as part of my New Year’s Resolutions for 2013, I am getting organized and trying to blog more regularly. A huge part of that is getting my hands on a blog planner that works for me.
Let me tell you, finding this blog planner has not been easy at all. I have gone through no less than 3 or 4 planners in the last six months while trying to find the right one. At one point, I thought I would need to design one myself in order to get what I want. But lets be honest; I hardly have enough time to do all the things I need to do already so adding one more thing to the mix just wasn’t going to happen.
Enter in the 2013 Desktop Calendar from Kate Spade.
Isn’t it pretty? If that didn’t sell me on this, it pretty much had everything I was looking for in one stylishly attractive package.
Now keep in mind, this planner is a place where I can not only schedule my posts, but also do long-range blog post scheduling/planning. Because I tend to blog on the fly and at different locations, this planner also needed to be of a size that I can carry with me in my purse and not have it be weighed down. The 5.75″ x 8.75″ of this planner from Kate Spade is absolutely perfect for me to carry it on the go.
Also a huge bonus for me is that the planner is versatile. It is not only my blog planner, but my life planner and I use it to remember everything in one place. *Note* Yes, I do have an iPhone that and I make use of my calendar, but I still very much need to hand write things out for them to make sense.
The planner includes a monthly view where you can see all of your scheduled posts in one place, and a weekly view were you can schedule your posts right down to the hour. Also included is a list of Holidays, Addresses, a place to list both your favourite restaurants and to keep track of birthdays. Each month has a rather stylish theme instead of just having a standard cover page with the name of the month.

Wow, I love this day planner!!! I have a little fill-in-yourself blank calendar that’s magnetic and sits by my desk..
(Also, sorry about the typo in the rafflecopter for Linky follower.. typing on the phone and it submitted before I could fix! Lol)
Oh so do I. I love all things Kate Spade NY, but this one takes the cake!
No worries re: typo!
How do I keep my blog organised? *dies laughing*
I am AWFUL. I’m behind on about seven reviews and have not scheduled a single post in my entire life. If something needs doing (like a challenge wrap-up, for example), I’ll leave it for days and then eventually cave in and do it at 1am one night.
I’m fairly rigid about updating my review archive and stuff, but otherwise I may as well just throw posts at my blog and hope they stick.
Congratulations on getting yourself out of the disorganised hole

Trust me, I know the feeling Hanna. I physically have to write out my reviews by hand in order for them to even get written. Once that part is done, it’s so much easier to actually get the post up and running!
Way to go getting on the organization bang wagon – I’m doing the same!
Nice! Does this involve colour coding? Cause mind does and I love it. I think that’s the most fun part!
Ummm what organization? The goal this year is to have two post a month accelerating to once a week by the end of the year!
Lol! Priceless! I know the feeling. I feel myself wanting to slack off so bad right now, but I have several reviews to crank out in the coming weeks!
Organization? Um…. I read a book. Then I try to review it. I’m in desperate need, as you well know! HA!
Congrats to Lindsey!!! (who apparently…. won twice….!)

That is more of a glitch than anything. When selecting the winner and asking it to display, it disappeared and then reappeared twice!
