Welcome to the final week of the #CBBMJMASKOFF!  I am kind of sad that it’s ending, because despite me not liking all of the masques that I tried, my skin has never looked better!  I’m going to consider that a WIN!  This week I tested the Deep Cleansing Clean-Up Mud!

We’ve harvested, swept shores and dug down deep across mountain ranges, glaciers and seas, to get the perfect selection of clays for our range of mud masques.  Pores will be opened allowing impurities and dirt to be dram out leaving skin deeply cleansed.’

  1. Cleanse
  2. Apply
  3. Relax 10-15 minutes
  4. Rinse

Let’s see how the Deep Cleansing Clean Up Mud measured up this week!

Aroma: 2.5* – This one has a strong smell.  A strong medicinal smell.  It almost reminds me of one of those muscle rubs.  Not saying that it smells like a muscle rub, but that’s the kind of medicinal smell I associate with this one.  And it’s a strong smell.  If you are someone who is sensitive to strong scents, this might not be the masque for you.

Comfort: 3.5* – Even though the package said to leave this one on for 10-15 minutes, I only managed 5.  I don’t typically like mud masques because of the drying factor, so I was super keen not to leave this one on too long for it to dry out on my skin.  Doing that made wearing this one much more comfortable for me than the one I did a few weeks ago.

Ease of Use: 4* – Since I didn’t leave this one on too long, it was super easy to remove.  I still had to remove it with either a washcloth or a sponge, but that is just my preference.  It makes removing a masque go so much quicker.  Applying it was easy.  Out of all of the masques that I have tried over the past 5 weeks, this is the only one that I applied with my fingers.

Results: 4* – My skin felt a bit tight after this one was removed, but all in all, it still felt as soft as a babies bottom!  This is always something I strive to achieve so this was another win for me.

The total for this masque is 3.5*!

While not my favourite masque, it actually worked better than I thought it would. The Deep Cleansing Clean-Up Mud would not be a masque that I would reach for weekly, but I could definitely see myself using it every once in a while. Especially if I wanted to combat any breakouts I might have.

Love that mask selfie, girl! I had some mild success with my mud mask this week (the super fruit one). But all in all, I am not made for mud masks!

Lol! That is what happens when I am stupidly tired and I try to take a photo!

Mud masques are such a hit and miss for me. More often a miss!

I’m not a fan of drying masks either. I got the Super Fruit one, but I wasn’t a fan of the scent either. Not a horrible mask, but not my favourite.

Scent is such a tricky thing. It really has to just work for you. I find that the more I don’t like the scent of something, the more I think negatively about it!
