So back in 2014, Kat Von D released newly formulate lipsticks in the form of the Studded Kiss Lipstick. Of course, at that time, the blogosphere was abuzz! These lipsticks were supposed to be awesome. More awesome than the original Foiled Love Lipstick, which apart from their tacky packaging, were really good. So yeah, expectations and hopes for the Studded Kiss Lipstick was high…perhaps too high!
Every now and then, you come across a product that makes you stop and take notice. Since the HOURGLASS Modernist Eyeshadow Palettes were announced, I’ve had my eye on these visually stunning offerings of eyeshadow goodness. My immediate reaction was pretty much I WANT THEM ALL. But my reality was a bit different. Having been burned by Hourglass before, and yes I am talking about the Ambient Lighting Palette, I decided to proceed with caution. I mean, really Sephora said that they were only available online, leaving no opportunity to test them out beforehand. *Note* Sephora’s website lies. You can buy them in-store at the Bloor Street location! What else was a beauty blogger to do but wait for others to review them and see what others were saying?

Now I love products from The Body Shop. I always have and I think it’s a pretty safe bet to say that I probably always will. So when it was announced back in February that they were releasing a limited edition Smoky Poppy collection I was intrigued. While it would still be a floral scent, which TBS is known for, and encompass all of the products that you find in a typical range, to me it seemed a little more ‘grown up’ when I was reading the press release. I immediately marked this range down as one to check out and indeed I swung by my local store to check out what was on offer.
I used to shop at MAC fairly regularly. Way back when I was still taking the GO Train into work, I would go right by a MAC store in Royal Bank Plaza. Invariably, as every new collection came out, I owned it the day it came out, before I even got to the office. Then I moved and despite living right next to Fairview Mall, my trips to MAC pretty much became non-existent, other than the occasional pop-in with Julie, but even those are a thing of the past! Well this past weekend, I made it a point to make a trip to a MAC counter to pick up a few things that I’ve either had on my wishlist for a while, or needed replacing (yes Zoe, I do run out of things, lol). I even dragged my mother along just for shits and giggles.
Every now and then, as a blogger I have the opportunity to attend some pretty awesome events. This past Saturday was one of those events when I was able to attend the MAKE UP FOR EVER Spring 2015 Preview here in Toronto. I’m not kidding guys, I pretty much came out of hibernation to attend this event, and what an event it was. The event was held at the Deanery at St. James Cathedral and it was a stunning, light and airy venue with floor to ceiling windows that let in a lot of natural light and let us bloggers really explore the products that MAKE UP FOR EVER was showcasing.

So a while back I told you about the newly released All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation from NARS. From the rumblings in the blogging community, it seemed like this foundation could be a game changer and I was eager to get my hands on it to see if it lived up to all the hype I was hearing. Because as much as I love NARS, and I really, really love NARS, how good could this foundation really be? Well, you better take a seat, because the NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation is better than anything you have tried before.
